- 250 grams tomatoes
- 250 grams onions
- 4-5 Potatoes
- 1 cup yogurt(Dahi)
- 1/2 kg Sella Rice
- 1/2 Kg Chicken
- 2 tbsp lal mirch powder
- 2 tbsp dhania powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp haldi
- 5-6 loung
- 7-8 kali mirch
- 2-3 bari elachi
- 6-7 choto elachi
- 1 dharchini stick
- 1 badiyan ka phool
- 1 tezpat
- 1/2 zarda ka rang
- 6-7 Dried plum(Aloo bhukary)
- 6-7 Hari mirchan
- 1 bunch hara dhania
- 1/2 bunch podina
- 1 tbsp ginger paste8
- 1 tbsp garlic paste
Instructions to make to make Chicken Biryani
- 1 hour cooking time
Wash & soak sella rice for minimum 2 hour.
Boil the rice in water with 2 Tsp Salt & 1 Tsp Sirka.
When rice are boiled drained water & keep covered. - Cut onion in slices.add oil in big pot.fry onion in oil till golden.add whole garam masala.fry for a minute.
- Divide 1 cup dahi in 2 bowl. Add lal mirch,dhania,haldi, salt in one bowl.
Add zardy ka rang in other bowl.mix well. - Add Chop tomatoes in oil & fry for 5 minutes till thy are soft.add chicken & fry till it's colour change.add dahi mix with masala.ginger garlic paste 1 Tbsp.fry masala for 3 minutes.add potatoes cut in quarters.add 2-3 hari mirch + aloo bukhary in masala.cover & let it cook till chicken & potato are tender & masala is fried.
- Take big pot, spread layer of masala at bottom. Spread layer of rice. Add dahi with zardy ka rang mix in it over rice. Then again spread masala.then rice. Lastly spread harimirchain, haradhania,podina at top.
Cover the lid.put at dum 5 minutes high heat then when steam comes out from sides of cover. Then lower the flame. - Serve garma garam chicken biryani with raita & salad. And enjoy birthday celebration with cookpad.
